I'm delighted to reveal the bedroom makeover I have been working on!
The bedroom before was a little bit soulless and lacking in character and my brief was to bring it to life whilst appealing to the romantic feminine preference of my client as well as bringing in some Scandinavian simplicity as preferred by her husband. The kind of challenge I love!
Being a fashion stylist, I knew my client would love the House of Hackney leopard print wallpaper and this was the perfect print for the dividing wall into their en-suite. She had already bought the gorgeous Amy Carter print which hangs above the fireplace so I needed to choose a rich colour to offset this and to compliment the wallpaper. Brinjal by Farrow and Ball was the winning shade.
Now for some texture.... I had beautiful duck egg blue velvet by Designers Guild made up into sumptuous curtains and a pink velvet bench by made.com fitted perfectly in the scheme. The bed by Love Your Home is styled with layers of linen bedding by piglet in bed and H & M home and finished off with beautiful cushions by Imogen Heath interiors.
The clients chose to have carpet and I have added this gorgeous rug by Floor Story for extra pattern and texture.
The ceiling and wall lights are from Rocket St. George and their simple design is my nod to Scandi style! I'm delighted that my clients love their new room, I hope you like it too?
